With over 30 years experience from trekking, indoor and outdoor climbing, trail running and mountaineering in the UK, Europe the US and India – Enduring Missions can help you envision, crystallise and achieve your dreams.  For individuals, families, teams – we work together with you to provide any necessary training, coaching, facilitation and logistics to make them a joy.

Hiking techniques in cold conditions

Hiking in Chamonix / Les Houches, France


  • Typically between 1000-2800m depending on weather and conditions
  • Planning and equipment
  • Use of crampons, ice-axe, rope
  • Navigation (both day and night, using headtorches)
  • Rope and harness techniques
  • Wild camp craft – winter huts, bivvying and under canvas
  • Optional – rock climbing (cragging), snowshoeing and/or  trail running


Partial-days (at either end for travelling) will be pro-rata'd based on whether we get out for a portion of the day.

We also partner with non-profit organisations as part of our own missions as a way to build a sustainable difference to communities and people we care about.   


Young people are facing unprecedented challenges: poverty, isolation, gang affiliation, substance abuse, negative stereotyping, the pressure of social media, coping with the impact of coronavirus. Any one of these can lead to mental and physical health problems.   


Enduring Missions works with Urban Uprising in the UK to use rock climbing to improve the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of 8 to 18 year olds who are experiencing disadvantage. We give young people the chance to experience the transformational personal change that climbing can bring. 


We also work with Nari Seva in India and Little Smiles in Nepal to transform the lives of young people in urban and rural environments.
